Session FAQ

What is included in every session?

• I provide courteous and prompt communication, so you know everything about your session and the progress of your photos after your session.  

• Photos are hand-edited in-house, I never outsource my customer service or your photos.  

• Secure Digital Gallery includes full-resolution digital photo downloads and available print options.  

• Limited adjustment requests available after delivery.  

• A complimentary USB drive is available upon request. 

How many photos will I actually get? 

You get to download up to the amount of photos defined in your session. Additional photos can be purchased individually.

What is the Kuz Photo style?

Detail and accuracy are my main photography goals. I try to get a great balance of light, not too dark and not too bright. I use a well controlled hand editing process, so you don't look like a space alien on a greenscreen holiday. 

How to prepare for your photo session?

• Anyone under the age of 18 must always be accompanied by an adult, also I really appreciate the extra help.

• Cameras/camcorders/any type of recording devices, this includes cell phone cameras are NOT permitted during the session unless prior arrangement has been made. It can slow down the session and be distracting for me.

• The Session starts at the agreed-upon time. It is strongly encouraged that you arrive 5-10 minutes prior to the start of the session. This allows for any last-minute snacks, restroom breaks, and relaxing before the session begins.

• Please make sure that hair is combed, faces are clean, and free of runny noses.

• Avoid eating or drinking heavily dyed food or drinks before the session, as these tend to leave stains on the face or teeth.

• Make sure you have a good meal before and bring some snacks, smiling takes a lot of energy and sometimes bribery.

• Fun and silliness is required at all times during the session. Be warned the jokes may be lame!

• Please do not shave faces right before a session, razor burn is hard to edit out, make sure to leave at least 8 hours after a facial shave before your session.

What to wear?

Clothing is a vital part of a photo session but remember you want to be the star of your photos, not your outfit. Here are my recommendations on what to ware to your session.

• Avoid heavily branded clothing including logos and slogans.

• Aim for simple and classic, consider choosing solid colors.

• Heavy patterned clothing can be extremely distracting and busy looking.

• Choose an outfit that you feel comfortable and "yourself" in.

• New clothing is not always a good choice, if you don't feel right in the outfit it will come across in the photos.

• Go for an outfit you love that showcases your personality

• Try to style your look from top to bottom, including shoes and any jewelry (or props).

• Depending on your location, we may be walking on unpaved surfaces, and brush filled areas. Make sure you have a pair of non-heeled shoes with just in case.

Here are some additional tips:

• Make sure your clothes are clean and pressed, it's a digital age and camera will pick up wrinkles.

• Avoid wearing anything too revealing or too casual.

• If you are wearing makeup, go for a natural look, bold colors can be overwhelming in a photo.

• Do your hair and nails in a way that makes you feel confident.

How long to get photos?

After your session it takes about a week to process and deliver photos. This may vary depending on the size of the session, if you choose to do proofs, and time of year. If you are in a rush, I can make it happen, but there may be an extra charge. 

What happens after the session?

Tracking

After the session you will receive detailed tracking information about your photos so you know where they are and an approximate delivery window.

Optional Preview

After the event client proofing (optional):
Some clients want to see everything I took and review the raw images before I start editing. This can increase the time to get your photos but you will know the exact poses and smiles you will be getting.
Here's How it works...

1. I can create an online gallery with unedited photos to be reviewed.
   (I will eliminated any duplicate or out of focus photos)

2. You can then take your time and pick as many favorites from the gallery.

3. After you are done I will hand edit each photo you've picked to make them pop!

Digital Delivery

Once your photos are ready:

• You will get a link to an online gallery where you can view and download the final full resolution photos.

• Limited adjustments are available if you need changes, like if a photo is too warm. Just email me with the file name and what needs changing.

• Guest access to the gallery (Optional)

  • You can share the email/link to the gallery with friends and family, it entirely up to you.

  • For business or events I can set up guest access so that people other than you can download "social media quality" or "full resolution" digitals if needed.

    • Guest downloads can also be a paid option if you would like, this is great for additional fundraising and can be discussed.

• High quality prints are available, see section below (optional)

Printing Options?

Along with your digital downloads, your session gallery will include access to our print shop where you can order wallets, standard prints, canvas, metal prints, and even design your own cards. The card creator includes engagement announcements, graduation announcements, invitations, thank you cards, holiday cards, and tons more. Print orders are an additional cost and shipping fee. Prints will be delivered right to your door from my professional print lab in Minnesota. Just load up your cart and hit checkout using the secure payment process.

What is the Kuz Photo data protection system?

At Kuz Photo, I understand the immense value your photographs hold. That's why I go above and beyond with our redundant multi-drive backup system. From the moment your photos are captured and stored in the camera's dual memory cards until well after they have been delivered, every photo is backed up to protect against equipment and drive failures.

You can rest assured that your Kuz Photos are not merely stored, they are safeguarded, and readily available whenever you need them.

How large are the photos/quality/print sizes?

• I use the latest in mirrorless digital technology providing up to 30 Megapixel photos allowing you to print up to 24" x 36" standard prints and up to billboard size if needed.  

Are pets welcome?

I welcome all pets (well some pets, I don't like spiders, sorry). Keep in mind they can be tricky to get a great pose especially in new locations. 

What is the Kuz Photo discrimination policy?

I welcome people of all colors, origins, backgrounds, genders, and beliefs. The art of photography should cross all boundaries and create memories for anyone who is willing to face the camera and become a part of our combined history together. I have the right to refuse service to anyone who disrespects my belief that everyone has the right to be treated equally.

Payment and deposit?

• Payment is required before your session can begin.

• I accept: Major credit cards, Google Pay, or Apple Pay through secure payment system
  (cash or check available upon request)

• A deposit may be required for larger event sessions.

Does Kuz Photo do volunteer work?

I am always happy to help, if you are a charitable organization or public service in need of an event, promo, or other work just let us know.

Service area?

Kuz Photo Sessions are currently limited to Larimer County, Colorado. 

Cancellation policy?

If you have scheduling issues, I need at least a 24-hour notice, or you are considered a no-show and forfeit your session payment. 

If you do not show up (no-show) for a session you must complete a new Session Agreement along with paying another session fee before rescheduling. 

If you decide to cancel your Kuz Photo Session, you will receive a partial refund minus any processing fees. 

Data Privacy?

Protecting your personal information and digital photos is extremely important to us at Kuz Photo, all personal information is private and will not be sold or distributed to anyone.  

Legal Stuff?

The request form is not a binding contract or agreement of any kind, the form is only to request for service from Kuz Photo. Further conversations will be required. After we discuss your photo session a Session Agreement will be created and must be signed along with payment before the session can take place (the request form is not the Session Agreement). 

Service is at the Artist's discretion: Steven Kuzmich, photographer and owner of Kuz Photo has the right to refuse service to anyone. All style and artistic direction are decided by me, I do not recreate or duplicate other artist's styles or work.
